we are freshman in college. we have both expressed that we want serious relationships with each other. we flirt and talk just about everyday. she is usually the one who initiates the texting/flirting, and talking about having a relationship. yet when we talk about it further, she says she doesnt want to rush into a relationship. what does that mean. if we both feel the same way then why not.


and what can i do with her to show her that i care about her but understand her decision not to rush into a relationship?

When you say ';talk about it further';, how so? Like, goin' on a date? She might be shy, or embarrassed or maybe she could just enjoy the attention.





Try puttin' your arm 'round her when you're on a walk, like you said. First try it when you're alone. If that goes well, try it when people are around. It might help you understand what she's sayin' more.

Obviously, you both don't feel the same way. there are plenty things you can do to show her you care how about her. maybe you first need to find out how she really feels about you before you waste your time.

holding hands, arm around her and cuddles should be fine, but it depends on the girl, if by taking it slow she means she wants to get to know u first like as a friend, then basically ur gonna have to take her lead - if she holds her hand out - take it!





She probably just means she doesnt wanna get all loved up and then get her heart broken, sounds to me like she has been hurt before by a boyfriend, or maybe your her first boyfriend and she is just being cautious, but if i were to say i wanna take it slow to a guy it would mean i dont want to rush into sex or move to fast like when it comes to making out and stuff...





best thing to do is follow her lead or ask her, say u dont wanna lose her or upset her so can she explain to you where ur at, like if she wants to be friends first, or if she wants to be just 'dating'
