';Islam was not meant as a way to rule the state, [but] rules to lead a rightous life';. True or False?

Is this interesting comment by a recent contributor true or false?';Islam was not meant as a way to rule the state, [but] rules to lead a rightous life';. True or False?
False. Most of the western religions, from Christianity, Judaism, to Islam, have statements contained in their holy works, as well as rules that are part of their religious tradition, that specifically pertain to how government should work, or how people should relate to their government. This is especially true with Judaism and Islam. The person who stated that Islam has nothing to do with rules of the state is either ignorant of what the Qu鈥檙an actually says, or is trying to avoid the issue.';Islam was not meant as a way to rule the state, [but] rules to lead a rightous life';. True or False?
of course it is FALSE. the man who told you this does not understand Islam for what it really is. Islam has rules to lead a rightous life as well as rules to lead a perfect state. don't you know that years back the Islamic country was the most civilized society ever. it was years ahead of the West. but the problem now, is that Islamic countries are not following the Islamic rules and regulations to the full, that is why there is no civilization. Islam orders us to use Technology, to work and to become civilized, but who is listening nowadays?!
Islaam is rules to better one's self, to maintain family and relations..... and the ladder climb up all the way upto having the rules for an Islamic state.

Muslims are but one Ummah

and it needs its state for a just cause.

the rules of the Qur'aan cannot be established if there was no justice system based on it. Don't you agree?
Rejecting Hukm Sharia is Kufr.

鈥he command [Hukm] rests with none but Allah鈥?[6:57, 12:40, 12:67]

鈥o Him belongs the Command [Hukm]鈥6:62, 28:70, 28:88]

鈥he Command [Hukm] is with Allah, the most High, the Most Great [40:12]

Allah does not share His Command [HUKM] with anyone, (not even with the Prophet [p.b.u.h])

鈥e does not share his Command [Hukm] with anyone [18:26]

Allah commands the Prophet [p.b.u.h] to proclaim that Allah is the only One who can command

Proclaim (O Muhammad): ';Our god, Initiator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of all secrets and declarations, You are the only One who judges [tahkumu] among Your servants regarding their disputes.'; [39:46]

Say (O Muhammad): ';Shall I seek for judge [HAKAMan] other than Allah? - when He it is Who hath sent unto you the Book, explained in detail.'; They know full well, to whom We have given the Book, that it hath been sent down from thy Lord in truth. Never be then of those who doubt. [6:114]

Islam is not a religion, it is an ideology!
Not 100% true

Islam is meant to impliment Rule of the laws of Allah swt. that is not possible only by Dawah, it needs a Caliphate system that is negation of nationalism among Muslims as Muslims are only one nation.
100% true. We r here 2 lead a rightous life that will make our dunya %26amp; akhirah %26amp; when we have this sort life our rulers will be rightous %26amp; rule justly Insh Allah.Rulers r one of us not 4m outer space the way we will be Allah will appoint upon us.
No because Prophet Muhammad (SAW) first established Khilafat after migration then established a righteous life.

Without authority can you establish and follow any law?
It is kind of true and false because all guidelines for a righteous way of life should be what the state laws are based on right??
true but one have to add that it is very difficult to have righteous life without the rule of the state as nonmuslims will not apply the shariah
If that's true, then why are there so many states ruled by Islamic law? Why are Muslim clerics orchestrating the governments of some of these nations?
bold claim and wild guess.

absolutely wrong and false.

Islam is a complete way of life.
If the statement is true, then why are there so many demands for states to be run by Sharia?
Islam to both.
absolutely right
True!

@ Abu Haneefah: all the rules laid down for us in the Quran have to do with leading a righteous life. Not how to lead a state or rule a country!
True.
