Atheists have no faith. We cannot believe things unless they are true.





Believers have faith. You cannot believe things unless they are false.
You haven't defined God. That is why.
Most of them see the evil in the world. They see people worshipping God wrong. People are attributing idols like greed,power, and money to religion. That's good. I respect them for that. All they gotta do is see that it is not God who caused that, but the devil who did that.

Technology yes, I haven't seen any real changes in religion or belief of god in the last 2000 years. So yea, I think it was long enough. Hey, if new evidence comes along I'm not saying I'll ignore it.

When I've read The Bible (and I have read it many times from start to finish because it is a book filled with good literature) it seems very obvious to me that the stories are myths, and myths are not true stories...they are fables and legends blown out of proportion, like people who believe Elvis is still alive or that the moon landing was fake.





There were no stenographer reporters walking around back then following Jesus around chronicling his life. And when you compare the story of Jesus to other myths that came long before him, the story details are strikingly similar, so similar in fact that one would have to conclude that the same myths just keep getting passed around with some small changes in the details every time somebody re-writes the story, and the stories in The Bible are ';not'; considered accurate History by any History Department in any university in the world....





The English Bible is a collection of good mythical literature, ';not'; a collection of historical facts, and people wrote The Bible, not some God, and how do you know that those people didn't just make that stuff up? It's pretty obvious to me that it's fiction...not reality...

When you say god, are you referring to Thor or Ra?
Tomorrow evidence of god could be found. Also, tomorrow evolution and the big bang could be totally explained. You seem to think that since neither has been fully evidenced that we HAVE to accept god as the final answer. Those of us with functional braincells will wait until there is evidence for either.
Just because an atheist doesn't want to prescribe to religioun doesn't mean we have trouble comprehending it. We just choose not to fall for it.

True atheists have no mental block or trouble with comprehension.


It is a matter of evidence.





Show us evidence and we will change our minds. To say that we exist as part of a ';plan'; or ';purpose'; is an emotional response, not a logical one. Therefore, it does not constitute a proof.
I find this kind of blah very hard to decipher.
It's actually a cute little irony, that you argue that we can't comprehend God because of ';mental phenomena';, when the only reason people believe in God is because thousands of years ago, our ancestors couldn't comprehend the workings of the Universe, so they invented ';God'; to explain the world around them.
Why the hell do christians accept the impossible without any proof because an ancient book says so?
