it is true in most cases. Children are reflections of their parents, for better or worse. Once in a great while a child with grace will break the spell and bring something terribly new and enlightening into the world. What is meant the the saying: The apple doesnt fall far from the tree? True or false?
Meaning a child is much like their parents. I believe in many respects its very true. What is meant the the saying: The apple doesnt fall far from the tree? True or false?
It Means A Child Will Be Like Their Parents...
True....
We can move far from the tree, we can alter are appearance, we can have no contact again with the tree, but fact is we are still part of that tree....
True in some cases.A child bears most likely like her parents. As the saying...Like Father like son....Like mother like daughter....
it means that the apple, or the child, doesn't stray too far from the beliefs his/her parents (or the tree, the origins of the child aka apple) raised them with. simply put, it means that children turn out to be pretty much like their parents, because once you are raised a certain way, it is very difficult to break away from that upbringing. our parents are a major influence in our lives. however, i strongly disagree that we always have to turn out to be like our parents. of course, this is many times the case, but it doesn't always have to be that way. a child who is staunchly against his/her parents' way of life will do everything he/she can to NOT turn out that way. of course, in this case, the parents are still heavily influencing the child, but in a very different way. i believe we always have a choice in this world. no one defines who we are but ourselves, and ourselves alone. parental influence seems dominating, but there are plenty of other factors out there that shape who we are, such as friends, school, religious institutions, politics, the media, and what we experience outside the home. we are human beings, with our own minds, born with the ability to question everything. yes, for some people it seems like their parents are all they know, but a strong minded person can break away from the thick branches of the tree. keep in mind...seperate from the tree, an apple is its own entity.
I bet Charles Manson's or Adolf Hitler's parents would disagree.
It did fall on Newton's head, and only Newton knew where he brought that unfortunate apple to . . . . . . . .. far, far away, perhaps.
