Crossroads

By, L.A. Powers

The hilarity of Life never ends

With a finale to the theatrical opus absent from sight.

The widening tides and sinking hills bends,

And curves, and flows, river-like into the night.

And within this infinite sea of sighs,

Lies a glimmer of hope and a beam of light,

Illuminating a flare of love and failed tries;

Attempts to end with a bang; put up a fight.

And so continues this disoriented flight.

Until the crossroads are met,

What method would end my blight?

The vermilion petals of liberty or love鈥檚 threat

Or following the set piece, the show, into the night,

Flowing with the river, neck deep, drenching wet.Can anyone find true meaning in this poem?
Beautiful.

I think it's about life and how you can look at the ups and downs of it, but in the end you just have to take what's given to you regardless and try to make the best of it.
